Can we change the expiration date of a license file

I have noticed that when I go to secure.altair.com and generate a license file, it give me no option to set the expiration and it appears to be defaulting to one year. Is there any way to change that? Having one of the largest supercomputers in the world stop working because the license expired is going to be suboptimal to say the least.

I guess you have a point, but that brings up a bunch of questions:

If I create a license file one month before renewal is it only good for a month?
When I pay the renewal, can I get another license file with an updated date from an already created file, or do I have to "return" those licenses and generate a new one?
I am just really not fond of the idea that our production system could stop running jobs because we missed updating a license file.
