I had a similar issue you can try this to see if it helps:

    1. Open Control Panel

    2. Click on Programs

    3. Click on Program and Features

    4. Find  Microsoft Access database engine

    5. Right click and select Repair

Thank you so much for the reply.  While this is a work PC I was not able to go in and do the repair since I am not a system admin.  I did however just open Access and then closed it back out and tried to open Monarch and it opened as normal.  So it seems to have done the trick.

We have the same issue as well for Monarch Classic 2023 with an ODBC connection that started yesterday on multiple devices.

It has been discovered that their has been a recent MicroSoft update on 12/21 in that users may need to repair or install the Access Engine for Monarch.

Hi @Todd Breckenridge , @Matt G , and @Kristen Edge  - Hope the issue is all resolved for you all.

I wanted to plug in a notice for the Monarch Certification. We launched the Monarch Certification last year to help with learning Monarch and earning a digital badge for recognition of their efforts. Currently we have the Basic (Beginner) level, but we are planning to roll out the Intermediate level this year.

We have a bi-weekly study where we discuss the questions on the beginner as well as some questions that we will have on the intermediate.

If you're interested I can forward you the calendar invite for the bi-weekly study group.
