Fin spacing optimization
Hello experts, I want to determine optimum spacing and no of fins for a heat sink under forced convection. What is the procedure to perform this analysis using CFD?

I don't have the exact steps for it, but this is probably doable by coupling HWCFD with HyperStudy as an Optimization engine.
Not quite sure on how HWCFD could speed-up the model preparation process, but you would need a parametrized geometry.
But another option for this would be SimLab with an automation + HyperStudy both working with a parametrized geometry from InspireStudio.

We had something for this earlier.
CFDCalc: The Appification of CFD - Digital Engineering 24/7 (digitalengineering247.com)
There is a way with SimLab that does something similar. Please contact Altair Support, as the process video is not yet public.
