Copy in Report Design
Hi all,
I am having trouble copying data while I am in Report Design.
This is helpful to easily create footers/appends, as you do not need to type in the trap details.
The "copy" button is also available while right click, and I tried to use it, but without success, the data is not loaded in clipboard.
I am using Version 15.3.0.9284 and I tried to find out a setting related to this but I could not find one. Maybe it is windows related, I am using windows 10 enterprise.
Many thanks,
Radu

Hi Radu,
I think you could be correct about it being a Windows issue. Copy from the report into the trap line should be working.
Could you try using a different mouse or use the touch pad instead of an external mouse or vice versa if you are using a laptop. I don't specifically recall an issue with copy and paste, but I know drag and drop can be affected by mouse or video drivers. Does copy and paste work in Notepad?
Regards,
Steve.

i would have to agree with Steve. I did try the right click copy and right click paste in report design for both Data Prep Studio and Monarch Classic and they both worked correctly. The only difference is I am running v15.4 and Windows 10 Pro. I do not recall any problem with the copy/paste functionality in 15.3.

Copy paste works in notepad, other apps etc, I tried using touchpad and buttons next to it to copy paste in "Report designer", same issue.
It is funny that copy paste works in "Report view", the copied data is loaded in clipboard, but does not work in "Report designer".
My colleague has version 14.1.0...and it works, same windows version.
Thank you for your time and looking up the issue!
