HyperWorks CFD Volume Mesh Help
Hello,
I am trying to run a CFD analysis on HWCFD for my FSAE Team. I have followed the videos and manuals provided to me by our representative and can't get the simulation running. Steps I followed are:
Surface meshing in HyperMesh
Wrap meshing in HWCFD
Wind tunnel geometry creation and boolean operation
Geometry check and repair
Flow parameter setup
Walls setup
Boundary layer setup
Refinement zone setup
Volume+Surface Batch meshing
The result is as follows. Log shows OK and mesh looks pretty well put together.
When I try to run the simulation from the solution menu I get the following:
I don't know if I may have missed any steps but the volume mesh is clearly created and visible, except when I go out of the section cut menu with it enabled, which makes the solid look like this:
Any help is appreciated. Thank you

The message is very explicite: you have to create volume mesh from surface: 3D>tetra mesh ?

I have already created the surface+volume mesh via batch meshing as shown on the documents. I have tried to follow your sugestion at Mesh->Volume Mesh but I get the same results.
Thank you

To add some more information:
Mesh was apparently created correctly, as the 3D entity count apprears >0.

Jorge,
I have the same problem with the section cut view. Did you find any solution for it?
Thanks,
Pouyan

Hello Pouyan,
What's the specific problem you're having?
My solid was created with a faulty geometry. The trailing edge had a step on it which the mesh couldn't adapt to. A bit of SolidWorks work fixed the issue by removing that small face and making the trailing edge an actual edge and not having it cut by a vertical plane like it was before.

Thank you Jorge for your quick response. When I activate the section-cut view, however the 3Dmesh is complete, it shows a hollow shape with a thin layer around it (like your last picture here). Is this something HW does? Is there any way around it to show the inside elements?
