Problem with steady state thermal 3D

Hello,

I set up this very simple simulation on Flux3D (steady state thermal):

image

The inner volume is set as conducting region and is set also a small heat source.

The outer volume is set as conducting region ( for example air, to see the effect of conduction without convection).

The outer surface is set as "Imposed temperature on one boundary " region.

I check physics and I get this error:

Failed execution . Recommendations not available for thermal applications.

What i'm doing wrong? Is the simulation physically uncorrect? Do I need an infinity box (and if yes how?).

Thank you

Gianluca

    Hi Gianluca,

I do not see any issue with this. This is just a warning.

I will check and get back to you if this can be ignored and go ahead with solving model.

    Thank you,

    Lavanya

Flux usually recommends the solve and number of cores required to solve a problem. We do not have recommendations when Thermal is involved. That is why you are seeing this warning.

    You can ignore it.
