CUDA GPU error problem

Dear Altair,

I am running a simulation with 1 GPU CUDA.

It stopped running after few hours with the sign "Runtime Error" and then the "CUDA GPU Error" (as below) came up.

Now, GPU devices testing is shown as failed and the simulation cannot run with GPU.

Could I know the solution for this? There was no problem with running the simulation with GPU for past 15 days.

Best regards,

Ranji Songimage

    Hi,

Restart EDEM/your machine. Sometimes when a simulation crashes there can left-over data on the GPU that causes issues like this.

    Dear Richard,

    Thank you for your reply.

I tried restarting it, but still does not work..

I have also tried with another computer with GPU but has the same problem.

I didn't actually read the message before, but if you're saying this was running on GPU before, then that message seems to suggest either your driver has changed or the GPU has changed. First step I'd check your drivers are up to date. A 1060 is an old card so it might just be that the card isn't capable of using the CUDA version we require, in which case I have no explanation as to how you were running it before.
