wrong result when select nodes "by geom" surfs

Dear,

Can everyone test whether below bug appears in HM14?

I encountered it in HM13

1) Make a surf

2) Automesh on it

3) ShiftF2 select nodes> by geom> surfs ---> all node selected (it is ok)

4) Now make other elems above the surf whose nodes are nearby nodes on surf,

you can duplicate shells and translate them up, but i made a rigid above surf to see easily

5) ShiftF3 equivalence all elems with 'equiv at' as 'highest id' and retain 'lowest id'

(set an appropriate tolerance somehow nodes on surf will jump up)

6) ShiftF2 select nodes >by geom> surf ----> it's wrong because nodes already out of surf

Hi Tinh,

I translated the elements (duplicate) by 0.1units and tried your method in 14.0, translated nodes doesn't get selected when selection made by Geom.

do you use equivalence panel? - So it is ok in v14

I mean the bug is due to equivalence panel, it makes nodes to move outside of surf but did not break association

If we use translate panel, it will break association as other modifying function like rotate, scale, ....

I missed the equivalence part. Yes as you said after equivalence, the translated elements are getting associated to the surface.

I will check with dev on the same.
