Hi,I'm using hyperworks to perform an airbag fold simulation, but I only found pretty little guide about it.Anyway, there's few question that confuse me:

1.After doing a PAB stitching and reading the h3d file, should I replace nodes near the stitches or just leave it there?

2.After doing a PAB stitching, the airbag looks like filled with some gas,I suppose I can't fold the airbag in this state, how to flatten it?

3.I'm directly using a PAB model after stitching to preform a simple fold in hyperworks, however the output rad file contain a node which postion is "************************************" and it's the same node as Fixed_EnvelopMainNode,Radioss solver can't solve the rad file because of this node,Is this a bug or something?

Here's the hm file after sititching(before folding) and the rad file generate by simple folding

    Hallo,

Thanks a lot for your contribution to the Community forum

you need to start folding step by step

    1. Create initial model for folding. It should use kg, mm, ms. Airbag should use tria elements only, there should be separate component for jigg, which will be fixed by airbag folder. Self airbag contatc should be available. I also corrected other card devinition to make modle compliant with airbag requiremenets (you may find them in RADIOSS FAQ manual. Generally initial airbag model should be a runnable RADIOSS model w/o /MONVOL card.

    2. I have corected your model and attached it here. You may try to do stitching with it

    3. After stitching model, the sticjhhed nodes shall be equivqlences in HM to get completyl closed volume. Aftrewards it shall be flattened. Then you can to simple fold

    4. Generally it is quite important to have folding plan before you start folding. Do you have one?

I think this discussion is to big to proceed in the Community forum. I suggest you to contact to local support with further questions. You may refer that we are in contact, so that they could forward your questions to me

Thanks a lot and Best Regads Dima
