When I run the solving process, the memory is insufficient.
where to find the option Using disk memory? thanks!
Hi Wenjun Zhu,
The option is under Solving>Solving process options>Edit:
If it is not working, I suggest you use an iterative solver, ICCG, which requires much less numerical memory.
Best regards,
Alexandru

Thanks, Alexandru. by the way, would ICCG scarifies the accuracy on the results compared to MUMPS?
You are welcome!
I can say that the results accuracy is the same, the results differ at 4-6 decimal(from my experience, 8 years on using Flux).
Hello Wenjun,
Were you able to run your model successfully without any memory issues?
Thank you,
Lavanya
Hello Wenjun, Were you able to run your model successfully without any memory issues? Thank you, Lavanya
Yes, it worked for a high mesh density in my model. However, for a even higher mesh density, the solving process just quit with hints "no management error occurs".
Have you seen any significant difference in computed quantities, after increasing mesh density?
Because after some extent, with increase in mesh density, significant difference will not be seen in quantities.
If you want to run simulation with more higher density, then it is recommended to use more RAM or memory, and Dynamic memory option.
In Dynamic memory mode, the numerical and character memories are dynamically managed by Flux itself during its execution. So, the user no longer has to configure both memories.
Thank you
