Restart file not created - how to find the error?

Hi all,

I am running a simulation on Radioss solver.

After some iterations, the simulation fails, without any clear message on the reason. From the terminal:

 NC=   45000 T= 5.8073E-03 DT= 1.2905E-07 ERR= -8.2% DM/M=-4.0935E-15
 ELAPSED TIME=       8296.17 s  REMAINING TIME=      13846.82 s
Restart file 3_stages_0001_0001.rst was not created.
Missing "NORMAL +TERMINATION" in output file 3_stages_0001.out.
Solver FAILED

Radioss:: Solver run finished after 2 hours (9776 seconds).

 

Opening the file 3_stages_0001.out, I cannot see any indication, the last lines are like:

    ANIMATION FILE: 3_stagesA008 WRITTEN
 45000  0.5807E-02  0.1291E-06 SHELL  900083534  -8.2%   1009.       257.5      0.1723       1380.     -0.4094E-14  0.7284E-04 -0.2982E-18

Is there a way to know what is causing this?

Hi Good Morning!

Restart file will be generated by requesting in engine file using /RFILE as shown in attached picture.

But for error you need cross in the out files, please send the both starter and engine out files.

thanks for the reply. Here are the files.

I am simulating a 3-stages process. Before, I was simulating each step independently and importing the deformed part shape each time. Now I modified the same simulation to solve in a single step.

Basically you need to simulate the sequential drop ?

Then we have separate procedure, so could you raise a ticket in Altair one account, so that our expert will respond inn detail.
