Union between two elements
Hello everybody.
I want to make the union between two elements: one is a mesh model of an aircraft imported in Feko and the other is a monopole created with the line bottom in "Construct".
The problem is that Feko does not allow me to do that. I attach below a photo to show that the button assigned to make the union is not even selected. If someone can tell me why, it would be great. Thank you.

Hi @Otta8 ,
The Union operation is only for geometry parts. For mesh parts you ma be lucky with "Merge meshes". At first you will have to mesh the geometry part, then take it out of the simulation (delete or exclude) and then merge the meshes.
Best regards,
Torben

I have done what you said. I tried to export it as a stl extension but it didn't work, so I tried with the feko extension for meshes (.cfm) and it did work. The problem now is that merging the two model I can't create the wire port to feed the monopole. How do I solve this?

I asked about the union because I was afraid that the two elements could be not perfectly matched and so the power supply could have a small gap.

You're right, connection can only be stablished if the mesh is connected (sharing same vertices).

Hi @Otta8 ,
Without a model, it's very hard to tell at which point you have a problem. After you have merged the meshes you should be able to create a wire port on a mesh segment:
