Can you make a spring motion for a spring in EDEM 2022.1 or later?

I'm fairly new to EDEM, but am looking to see if there is a way to make a spring motion where the spring expands and contracts based on either forces in the simulation, or a given domain. A sinusoidal motion is pretty close, but I do not want the whole geometry to move back and forth and would rather is operate off of a spring motion.

    Hi Dylan,

For a spring motion I'd recommend MotionSolve + EDEM.  There is a section in the EDEM Tutorials with links to MotionSolve.

MotionSolve could specify the spring conditions and forces and this would control the geometry based on the EDEM particle forces.

We do have force feedback in EDEM with the Motion Control functions (lesson 5.4) also listed in the EDEM documentation. However the coupling with MS is probably the best aproach.

    Regards
