Hi all experts,

I'm learning acoustic analysis , and there are a lot of indicators to measure the noise or related things.

I get confuse with Equivalent Radiated Power (ERP) (or Equivalent Radiated Sound?), Radiated Sound, Sound Pressure Level (SPL), Sound Pressure, ...

So, can you explain for me which indicator is used to measure noise, which is the most important,...

Thanks all.

    Hi Nancy,

I understand that with all of these new terminologies one can be overwhelmed at first. You could start from the most relevant quantiles that used in your current project, then expand the others one by one.

We also have vibration analysis class and acoustic analysis class this week, I would strongly suggest you register for the classes and practice the tutorials along with the trainer. Not only many of your questions can be answered, but also you gain a more comprehensive understanding of noise/acoustics.

This is the link to check and register the class:

    Thanks.
