Composite Modelling in Radioss

During modelling ply composite or layered material for Radioss in hyperworks, how to assign a material to the component since it is a composite having multiple material properties in it. After assigning the composite properties to the component , it is still showing an error of no material assignment.

Please provide a solution for this issue. Below showing a snap of the error.

Hi Prasad,

This material can be related to 2 issues:

1. One of your layers/plies have not a material assigned to it, which is a problem that should be fixed in your model in order to be correct
   
   
2. The composite part (component) has not a material assigned to it.  Despite the fact that all the plies have an assigned material, your part should have a material assigned too.  This material does not play a role in your simulation, but should be defined to eliminate this ERROR.  Most of the times we assign a material that participates in a ply, so you can do that too.

Commonly, the second point is the one related to this issue, so probably that matches with you too!
