Hello,

I designed a LPDA antenna made of wires, but when I launch the Feko solver, I get the message :

"A skin effect approximation will be considered for the label Union1.Wire1.
ERROR 1161: No triangles/segments found with the correct label to apply the skin effect approximation"

I can't find any information about this error.
I also tried to symplify and repair my model, but the error is still here.
I attached the .cfx file ("LPDA.cfx")

Would anyone have any idea ?
Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

You seem to be running v2022.3. I recommend you install hotfix 1 and update to 2022.3.1. The error was probably treated.

Regarding the warning it is actually there to alert that some meshing rule limits are being approached. You can correct that by reducing the "local wire radius" of the wires in question.

    Zeina

    Hello,

I ran the model you have shared with no errors on v2022.3.1.

There was the following warning  "The ratio of the segment radius to length is too large" because some wire segments seems to have radius>length/3.

Can you share the .out file?

    Regards,
    Zeina

    Hi Zeina,
    Thank you for your answer.
    I use :

    • Version : 2022.3-27432
    • Build date : 2023-03-31

These warnings about segment radius to length ratio are annoying but are not supposed to abort the processing.
I am attaching the .out file.
    Thank you for your help.
    Regards.

    Hi,

I updated as you recommanded it to 2022.3.1, and it works fine.

I also solved the warning on radius/length ratio, as you advised it.

    Merci beaucoup Zeina.
