I am looking for a new laptop for designing works. I have checked few of the options available online of budget below $1000 and am much interested in Lenovo Legion 5 AMD model. I have chosen a gaming laptop because I am going to play games also along with my designing works.

These attached are the recommended hardwares.

But in practice, it depends on what you want to run.

In general, If it is explicit or CFD, more cpus.

If it is implicit (OptiStruct, Inspire, etc) look after more RAM memory (16GB+).

    SSD always helpful as well.

For design stuff only, I think gaming computer does the trick ;)

If you want to inverse matrices or solve some complicated equations, you need a good RAM a suitable SSD and CPUs.
