Mechanical set and face region thickness
Merry christmas,
I am defining a translation in X with defining imposed velocity. In addtion, I wish stop the translation when it reach 200mm in that direction. Should I use maximal stop or minimal stop?
In addition,
Can be a face region thickness a function of the temperature of the substrate? For example like when the region reach certain temperature, the tickness of the face region beoming zero?
Regards,
Jerome.

Hi Jerome,
you need to use the maximal stop, since the motion is in positive X direction.
The thickness of the face region can be defined as function of other parameters. So you can define a sensor to measure the temperature of the substrate at specific location and then use the value of the sensor to control the thickness of the face region. You can't put the thickness of a face region to absolute zero, but you can try very small value. For the case you gave, you can try the suggestion below as an example. when AS (temp sensor) is less than 80, the thickness is is 0.25 and when AS is between 80 and 150, the thickness go down to 0.001.
Thanks,
