I am simulating a double squirrel cage induction motor.I am not sure how to form the circuit for the double cage induction motor.

In the flux  exercise problem, single cage is selected even though  the problem description says it as double cage induction motor.

In my case, the two cages are having separate end rings. so, i hope the two cages need to be modeled separately.

please find the picture for the circuit i have modeled.

Could any one please guide me in this ?

Attached is the picture for the circuit.

Thanks in advance.

    Hello Naresh;

    Yes, if you have two separate rings, so you can use the circuit as you showed in the picture.

    So you need, to create face regions as much as you have rotor bars.

    Please be careful to indicate in the squirrel cage component the number of bars displayed for the geometry (you represente only one pole or two). In addition to that, you have to compute the good impedance of each end ring portion.

    Please not that from FluxMotor, you can export you induction motor ready to be solved in Flux. In FluxMotor the definition of the model is easier and faster. However in FluxMotor there is no configuration where we split the end ring even for double cage one.

    Best regards
