Hi EDEM Experts,

We want to run Hyperstudy+EDEM on a remote virtual machine but everytime we open EDEM or start jobs in Hyperstudy the error message of OpenGL will pop up (see picture below). There is no GPU available on the virtual machine, how can we disable this error message pop up?

Regards,

Hao

    Hi Hao

In the nominal run of yours in HyperStudy in the 'Setup' study (or whichever study you are using in the 'Definition' of your 'DOE' study), please make sure that OpenCL is not selected in the EDEM Simulator for that particular simulation. Make sure that you have CPU selected in the Simulator.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Jerrin Job

    Hi Jerrin Job,

Thanks for the suggestion. The original Setup was set with CPU as the solver engine in the simulator. The error actually comes before it enters into the solving routine. It detects no graphical card on the virtual machine and immediatly showing the error and dispaly in legacy mode when the simulation is opened. I want to just disable this error.

    Best regards,

    Hao

    Hi Hao

Are you able to run an EDEM simulation without HyperStudy in the VM?

Yes, I can run the simulation without HyperStudy in the VM. The error pops up whenever the EDEM programme is called/openned.

    Hi Renan,

Thanks for the heads up. We have tried this method but it also doesn't work. We cannot turn off the setting of "Render all using legacy display", it is always selected, see picture below. The virtual machine has no GPU or OpenGL compatability. Maybe you know another workaround?

    Best regards,
