How to split tetra to hexa mesh

Hmm, don't understand what you want: 'number elements on boundary surface' ?
When you split something, you increase the number, right?

First. I made 2d quad mesh on surface of solid ( two segment on every egde). After, I create tetra mesh base on 2d quad mesh. Some tetra was created inside solid. And next step, I used 'split hexa' option to change tetra to hexa. BUT elements segment of edge increase. ( like image)
How to unchange segment versus original?

It's not possible.
When you split, 2 should be become 2x2=4 right?
Do you use split mesh for Mechanical computation or CFD?

I analysis linear static structure. But solid is same ' tetra shape' solid. Customer request all mesh in Hexa. Haizzz. I have no many experient with Hexa. Do you have Zalo or Facebook, If possible I can contact you by Vietnamese easier for hyperworks.
Thank you so much

Keep contact here if you want some help.
If it's possible I would like to have a look at your model HM where your customer requests 'all Hexa'?
Another point, Hexa mesh is in general a good meshing technique which gives you, in general, the good analysis results.
But this depends to the analysis goal and the Geometry. Mathematically, Hexa meshing is not always possible with any geometry. From point of view of FEA, don't fear TET meshing! A good TET mesh could give you better results than a 'bad' HEXA one. Splitting TET element to get HEX elements is not so good technique to have good HEXA elements.

Thank you so much. I understood your teach.
Because of security so that I can't show my model for you. But I will try to make mesh by my capacity. If impossible, maybe I will discuss with customer about Good TET as you said.
I'm very happy for your support.
Once, thank you so much
Best Regard

Keep in mind that the good principle of forum is 'sharing': when you post your question here, I can answer also here and another person who has the same 'issue' as you can learn from it directly.

Customers request all mesh in hexas, we make tetras and split them to hexas => Never do this because they will think we are very 'chicken'
They will never accept that model.

For sure, I NEVER accept a HEXA model split from TET /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
My principle is simple: good TET mesh is better than bad HEXA one

Thank you your sharing. This time, my model is rather complex ( both weld solid, holes, curved surface and they combined together).
My Customer request only and only make all Hexa. I will confirm with them again surely.
Thank you handsome guys/emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

Hi Alex,
Another method: do mixed meshing: HEXA when it's possible and TET/PENTA/PYRAMID elsewhere.
Attention: not all FE solver can support PYRAMID elements.

I'll try this method.
