For frequency response, some CAE guideline requests 0-500 Hz,

To save calculation time, some CAE guideline use "SUPORT" card to constrain free-free condition model, so cut-off frequency will be 0-250 Hz.

Do you have example to show the way to constrain a free-free model?

Thank you very much

    Hi Bo,

I am not familiar with the suggestion of using SUPORT for FRF analysis. I think SUPORT is to be used for inertial relief analysis only. https://help.altair.com/hwsolvers/os/topics/solvers/os/suport_bulk_r.htm?zoom_highlight=SUPORT

Maybe you can share more information about your usecase like what kind of model, information(response type, frequency range) you need from the analysis etc., then we can check it further?

If you are asking about modal FRF analysis, the rule of thumb for upper bound of eigenvalue extraction is 1.5 times of the frequency range of interest. Let's say you want to analysis the frequency response up to 500Hz, then you need to calculate eigenvalues up to 750Hz.

    Thanks.
