Intergration with other software

Hi,

I'm prodding my department into investing in better software. I was looking at Solidworks and COMSOL, but it's possible that Altair's product might be a better. I'm wondering what the output/input file extensions are because I would like to integrate with STK. We also commonly import files for COTS parts.

When I looked up the extension, it looked like it was unique. Is there an option to save or import other types of files?

Could you please list the formats that are used by (can be imported into) / compatible with STK and COTS? We can then tell you if these are compatible with HyperWorks or not, thanks.
