Hi,
I try to install Hyperworks 2018 and downloaded this realease from Altair Connect. However, when I install it the 2017 version installs again even though I'm using the 2018 isntaller. Please see the image:
What is the issue?

I confirm. Only Hyperworks Desktop 2017.2 is available with 2018 installater.
For now, HW Solver has 2018 version, but HW Desktop is still 2017 version

Altair support tells me that for Desktop 2018, should wait for .... 2019 /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

For the 2018 release cycle, HyperWorks Desktop will remain at version 2017.2 and will install with the 2018 Master Installer. However, if you have hotfixes (for AcuSolve, Desktop, and Solvers) you can put them in the same directory as the rest of the installers and you will be able to install them via the Master provided you are using compatible base install, e.g. 2017.2 Desktop with desktop hotfix 2017.2.x.
The newest Student Edition is 2017.2.
Has anybody installed latest Hyperworks Desktop 2017.3 release? What new features are added to HM, HV etc?
