Hello everyone, my goal in this calculation is to make the depth of impact greater than 200 micros, and finally I've succeed by using ALE method (with ALE-Grid-Displacment).
But here comes the problem: After the impact, these two componant stick together (there's no friction between them). Which have not appeared in the Lagrangien method. And I'm wondering why, and how to avoid it?

    Hi,

Can you try with a slightly higher value interface gap value?.

I tried with .005 and the results is as below.

    Hi,

This model have different issues to resolved.  First of all, /INTER/TYPE9 is not compatible with 2D analysis, so instead /INTER/TYPE5 is proposed!

I attach a model with /INTER/TYPE5 properly set up.

This model is running properly generally and just create some strange behavior when the collision evolves.  This happens because neither failure model is defined in the model.  So, if you want to move this model further a failure model should be created and the solution should continue normally.
