how to change milimeter units to inches in HM?
In HM units are set in milimeters. 1)If i want to take reading in inches or 2)if i have some co-ordinates in Inches and i want to creat nodes at those locations while units set in HM are in milimeters, how to do this?
Can i change units in HM? so that whatever i am measuring it shows value in inches,

Goto Tools-->Scale option, in selection change to 'Components' in x,y,z all scale option put '1/25.4' for converting mm to inch, click 'scale+'
Now all component have unit chaged to inch.

hm does not have any units, your imported geometry has units, so you could change your geometry's unit before importing or you could scale it after importing.

Hi,
Hexagon are right, normaly HM doesn't use units (except for solver typ NLGEOM, here you have to choose units).
So the simplest way is to scale the geometry during importing geometry.
If you geometry is in mm, then choosen the right scale factor in the import panel (import options). Maybe 0.03937 for inches (i never have used inches, sry). If you creating entities, then your inputs are in inches (always, if you say: my model use inches). And your geometry now have the right units.

1 inch = 25.4mm..Another way also more reliable that geometry scale..these scale is very useful for this purpose..Any other procedure did you have in your mind??I really appreciate your ideas...
