hypermash license problem
I have installed hyperworks but have problems with license.
I have installed hw on local machine (windows) but don't know what i do wrong.
My altair_lic.dat is empty, so I don't know how to use the 'create a USER_SERVER license file' procedure.
I tried the 'set up environment variable' procedure, but didn't work.
I tried also with flex license manager and didn't work.
What do i do wrong?
When I try to open i get this:
altair license manager: license error
Cannot connect to license server system.
the license server manager (lmgrd) has not been started yet,
the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the port or hostname in the license file has been changed.
feature: globalgridworksEU
server name: 192...
license path 7788@asus; 1055@asus;C:/Altair/hw10.0/security/altair_lic.dat
flexnet licensing error:-15,10. System error: 10061 'Winsock: connection refused'
I don't know why i get two license path. 1055 was the port number used when i had ansys installed. But now ansys isn't installed anymore.
What port do i have to choose? do i have to do something to remove the old ansys path? How do i have to modify the altair_lic.dat file to get it work?
If ttfLicenseFile.txt in the license number, why do i need the altair_lic.dat file?
The guide says that you have to modify it into:
SERVER 101.953.23.21 807d4212 7788
USE_SERVER
In my case what do i have to write? I have to write my ip address insead of 101.953.23.21 but what instead of 807d4212 and 7788?
Thanks

Please provide more detail:
Which version of HyperWorks are you using?
Do you have a local node-locked license or a server-license?
Your post indicates that you are using HyperWorks 10.0 with a server license. If that is correct you should make sure that the license server is up und running and set on your client machine (where HW is installed) a environmental variable ALTAIR_LM_LICENSE_FILE to port@host of your license server machine.
