Hypermesh meshing

i think its an error while exporting from catia, ensure that you are exporting the prototype bodies and not an occurence/component of those parts in the assembly.

I believe the previous answer mentioned that since you have an assembly you must import inside hypermesh the constituent parts of it and not subparts of the assembly. Anyway, a rather cumbersome way to do what you want is to import the parts of your assembly one-by-one instead of the whole assembly in one import. Try to import the CATIA geomerty (as .catpart, or .stp or .iges) of one part of the assembly in HM, mesh it and save it as .hm file. Repeat the process for all parts. Then open one of the meshed parts and import the rest by selecting import-->import HM model.

Save your CAD model with .igs file extension. Now import your CAd model into Hypermesh by checking in import portal that, Import Geometry and File Extension is iges.
