    Hi Ginobilli,

Please check if there are any shell elements retained in your model.

You can mask elements by config or use MASK browser to mask 3D elements and delete 2D elements if there are any..

    Hi Prakash,

Thanks for the quick reply. I did as you said. I found that there were shell elements scattered around within the model. I had them deleted, but the error persists.

    Hi Prakash,

It works now. I switched profiles from Optistruct to Hypermesh and then back to Optistruct, and it worked. Strange! Anyway, I got the result I was expecting. = )

Thanks very much for your time.

    Ginobili

    HI,

check if there are any duplicate elements and duplicate IDs exists.

check if correct property is assigned to the elements.

I was also modeling the simplest model possible. just the axial load on a 2d rod. and I received the same error.

I switched profiles but it did not resolved the problem.

I have totally two elements, and the MHCPLL. nothing complicated.

    here is the error

     *** ERROR # 2372 ***
No PWELD properties exist in the bulk data.
     *** ERROR 14: Missing property #    1 referenced by   CWELD # 1.

the same as F_young and ginobili

check if there are any duplicate elements and duplicate IDs exists.

check if correct property is assigned to the elements.

    How can I do that?

is there a list provided somewhere?

and by IDs what IDs do you mean? my tutorial has similar IDs

    Hi Sohrab,

The CWELD elements did not have compatible properties.

If you think there are duplicate elements you can check the same using 'Check Elements' panel (F10)>> 1D>> Duplicates.

    Thank you Prakash,

I used the check element panel and it did not say if there is any duplicates.

is the CWELD the hyperbeam element?  by properties , do you mean the steel properties I assigned to it?

I have 2 nodes and one hyperbeam rod element with one constraint and an axial force.

    Hi Sohrab,

CWELD elements should have a PWELD property where you define physical properties of the elements.

If possible can you share the model file using the drop box link in my signature below.

    Hi Sohrab,

Is there a reason for using CWELD elements?

Instead you could have used CROD or CBEAM element.

    Hi Prakash,

actually I had selected the CROD , don't know why CWELD showed up. I will check it again.

Prakash I modeled the rod again and this time I was so careful to select CROD and no trace of CWELD. However, again I confronted the same problem and the element type in the hyperview is CWELD again.

    what do you think?

    This is strange,

Do you mean CWELD results are shown in HV?

Can you share the .out file and .h3d file?

    I finally did it!!

I was previously an ANSYS user. I should say despite being very powerful the steps in hyperworks are very difficult. one step doesn't lead to the correct next step. one should keep an open eye for any slight error.

thank you Prakash for following with me.

    Sohrab,

    Thank you for the update.

You need to take care of the user profile. If by any chance you switch the user profile make sure you update the element type.

    Hi,

From the error message I understand that the model has weld elements and PWELD property is not assigned to those weld elements.

    Please check and update.

    Hello, I have this problem:

    •  No PBUSH properties exist in the bulk data.

However I have  defined PBUSH1D in the model but it is not loaded to the .fem file.

    $$  CBUSH1D Elements
    $$
    CBUSH1D  1558314       3   32176  354180
    CBUSH1D  1558315       3   63697  354175
    CBUSH1D  1558316       3   32214  354195
    $

for PBUSH1D, I have only defined K=2000. The orientation vector is set as default.

Can I have some help here
