could you please tell me, what EXACTLY means 'one dimension is much larger than other' in the case of 1D elements? Could you please tell me EXACTLY how many times larger? Does it mean that lattice structure which is represented in OptiStruct is useless?

Nothing is EXACT in Numerical Simulation world.

If it is useless, why altair populates it, are they kidding us?

I just wanted some recommendation, something like 'at least...' or 'do this, then do that...'

Make a structure by 1d then 2d then 3d then compare them.

Sometimes i see beam model with L/D=50 and sometimes just 0.1

I can't recommend anything.
