Is there a way to determine the amount of time a run calculation will take?

Similiar to sw2 in the the LSDYNA window.

    Hi LHUTCH

even i am facing a problem in radioss solver

    i have one basic question

when we use the unit systems as mm,ms,g at this stage the value of time is added in ms if i am not wrong

i mean to say if i want to run the analysis for 0.2sec it means in the engine file i have to write 200 am i wright

i need your help on the same

also when i run the analysis it gives me 0.8% error what is the importance of this

yes, you must define it like that. if your unit system in your starter file is mm,ms,g you must define the engine file by using the same units.

the error is computation error, that depends on your timestep, element formulation etc. 0,8 is low i think, it can goes up to %10 so it is acceptable for most cases.

you can check the engine out file for that, for example our analysis time is 200ms and the computation is in 5000th cycle, check the 5000th cycle time which is being in. let us say for 5000 cycles it is now in 20 ms, so you can say that 10 times of that is your overall analysis time.
