RBE3 Element ? HOw to use this with solid elements

how many degrees of freedom does your RBE3 element have? tets elements have 3 DOFs, no rotations only displacements. Your rbe3 element have 6 dof for each node.

Are you using a SHELL skin with the Tet elements?

yes i know rbe3 has 6 dgrees of freedom and tets have 3 dof but i have constrained all 3 rotational dofs ,but still i am having problem

thanks a lot for the replies ,now i found a solution for the previous error message ,but a new error is troubling me for which i was using rbe constraint ,the error msg shown is in static load case the compliance is large 2.95 e+10 optimization can not be performed ,kindly provide me a solution for the same.

Same types of problem running through in my reb3 i am very trouble for this problem for the last week ago..In this discussion i solved many problem but not complete.Hope you further discussion is solved my all problem in rbe3...

Does your model free in any DOF?

Large compliance comes if your model does not get any one constraint inclusing rotational.
