Slow Loading Model

I am using HyperMesh v9.0. I am trying to opn a 7MB assembly in hypermesh and it take over an hour. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to speed this up?

just wanted to confirm few things

Is it a .hm file or a solver input file

which operating system you are working on.

also please send the system details.

I'm having a similar issue with excessive model loading times.

I'm trying to open a .hm file, 102MB in size. The loading status stops at 'reading tags'.

The problem appeared a while ago, and keeps getting worse. A couple of days ago the

loading time was around 10 minutes, but now nearly two hours have passed and the model still hasn't loaded.

A colleague also encountered this problem. I'm working on HW version 9.1 The problem persists on other work stations.

Peculiarly, HW 12 is able to load the file without any issues. Sadly, migration to HW 12 is not a viable solution.

I'm working on Windows XP 64bit, Service Pack 2; running on a Intel 2 Duo E6750@2.66 GHz with 4 GB of RAM and a Geforce 8600 GT.

Hi,

there was a bug in older releases, which has generated a lot of metadatas from imported CAD files.

You can export your file in HMASCII format, delete the entries and import it again. Try it, no warranty...

all of the metadatas. For me there was a loooot of color informations. Try it...

It seems that simply exporting the model to HMASCII and importing it back to an empty model resolved the issue.

So far I didn't notice any complications like element renumbering or what not.
