Rbe2 - where exactly the rbe2 are used?? practically???
1.I Mean in which locations???
2. in which Applications???
Thanks & regards

Hi, RBE2 keeps its nodes moving together. Anywhere you want to fix nodes, you can use it.

RBE2 is a ideal stiff connection between the nodes.
RBE3 splits to loads to the nodes attached.
Have a look at the 'Skateboard Hypermesh Tutorial' there they are using RBE2 elements.

Hi Anton. Could you explain more detail about RBE3? in HM, which location should we use Dependence and which component we should assign Indepence? Could you give an simple example of using RBE3

RBE2 = True rigid element
RBE3 = interpolation element

RBE3s have only 1 dependence node, this should be location where you put LOAD
and other nodes are independence where you want to distribute the load to
example (create it your self):
- a flat plate
- a brick put on plate
so pressure is weight of brick / area
but sometimes you want to change the brick but not want to create pressure loads again
so you link nodes on plate by RBE3, and put weight of brick on dependence node
if you use RBE2 then the nodes will be stiffened, but not with RBE3
that is in ordinary way, but general behaviour of them depends on which DOFs you select for, or which solver defaults
prior to use RBE3,RBE2 you should understand:
- one DOF equation (spc)
- multi DOF equation (mpc)
=> so RBE2, RBE3 are systems of mpc equations
- how solver treats these cards
