Abaqus input (.inp) file/Orphan Mesh to 3D CAD Geometry

Hello everyone,

I have a few orphan meshes (Abaqus .inp input files) that I would like to convert to solid 3D CAD geometries.  I used Simpleware's ScanIP software to create the input files (ScanIP doesn't have any solid geometry export options) and would like to get the solid geometries so I can re-mesh them in Abaqus with more control over mesh sizing, element type, etc.  Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all,

Chris

    Hi,

If your query is related to using Abaqus, Please contact Abaqus/Dassault support team.

If you want to use HyperMesh to extract surface and further make a solid out of it, it is possible to do so using Surface from FE available in Geom page> Surface panel.
