Is there a way of converting a shape made of a lathed surface into a solid? (see attached picture/file)

Also, can I make an indent in my surface that would fill the area marked by the yellow curve?

Either youre lathe allready acts like a solid or you could run the 'make manifold'.

And what do you mean with 'indent'?

    - just an offset recess like a negative overmold or more like

    an independent shape ?

Did you have something like this in mind ?

    - Problem with youre file is that you have overlapping geometry

crossing the revolve axis (center of the inside).

Try to keep things simple at the beginning.

Also: as long as youre designing the shape just model the visible

surface and avoid having to thinwall that difficult 'indent'.

If this is a ceramic cup ,wouldn't the visible surface be enough

    for moldmaking anyway ?

    Hey guys and girls

Quick question. I have done all the tutorials solid thinking offers and have started my attempt at working through the user manuals. Does anyone know of any online tutorials or courses one could do to improve their skills. This is a newish program for me but i think its awesome. I have had great results using this program so far but i want to keep learning. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
