Bolt preload analysis using Optistruct

Hello everybody,

Could you please tell me how to do bolt preload analysis in Optistruct.

I mean not using any other solver e.g. Radioss , Nastran.

    Hi Omkar,

    You can use CGAP element with the U0 or F0 field (PGAP card).

    If you use the new contact interface (optistruct 10.0), you can use GPAD field on the PCONT.
