Problems to create solid

Hello,
I've got a problem with solid creating for mesh. When i try to do this 'no closed volume found' message displays.
There's no free edges so i don't know where is the problem.
I import geometry from STEP file:
Then go to geometry solid -> bounding surfaces

Sorry I haven't got any of free edges (red) all of them are green
Here is link to stp (STEP) file.

Hi,
could it be that the solid is already there /emoticons/default_wink.png' alt=';)' srcset='/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'> ?
As I imported the step file and masked every solid displayed, there is no geometry left.
Best regards,
Merula

Imported into my HM13, I got ... all solids /emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
So where's your problem?

But when I try to do solid map mesh of my model some of errors displays 'At 0/38. Solid 17: Non-mappable(2): along-faces from 1 loops, need 2'

You want to mesh all solids with solid map? The problem is, that those solids do not share surfaces... Maybe rebuild/rethink the geometry.

Hey, 'solid map' meshing is ... not a 'cheap' method to work :-)
In order to make them 'mappable' you have to ... work and work a lot, not just ONE click /emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' width='20' height='20'>
Have a look at Hypermesh manual & tutorials please !!!

Yea I've already reached it by auto-contact tool, thank you for your help and suggestions.
Do you know how can i repair my model ? Can i use HyperWorks to do this ?
I watched some tutorials and there was no similar problem solved there,

Please upload the .hm file where your error occurs, then we can have a look.
best regards,
Merula

Yes, I agree.
one thing to remeber when meshing a hex/penta part: do it from the most complex portion to simplest one

To add to the above, make as much mappable as you can.
This makes it easy to mesh.

Why i can't merge these solids ? Should I do this in another way ? How to make the solids to share surfaces ?
There's no tutorial about this problem
Yea I know that but it's not working.
Yes, sometimes solid merge do not work
instead of merging you can create big solid by selecting bounding surfaces
HM is not ideal for CAD processing, so some geometry functions not work in some case. but you will always find a workaround
Hi
- isolate only the component
- switch to topology color
- click on visualization button

- uncheck shared, suppressed, t-connection
