Midsurface file size problem

When I extract midsurface for the geometry, the size of HM file saving after creating it is becoming too high(more than original goem HM file size). Same problem while exporting iges file of midsurface geometry created, iges file size formed is large. I faced this problem 2 week before and its occuring for all geometry while extracting midsurface.

Please let me know how to correct this and what caused this problem.

Not sure if I fully understood your issue, but extracting midurfaces will create additional entities in the HM database, so an increase in HM file size should be normal. In addition, when you have shaded geometry and save then the file, some of the shading information will be also stored in the HM database, which again will increase file size.
