Hi

I wanted to know how to reset tool menu( or all of them) to default mode. It has vanish and cant find it.

I read about the default bottom but in version 5.5 i dont see it.

I would really appreciate any help.

    Hi Manny,

    If you look under either the 'Help' tab on Windows or solidThinking tab on Mac you will be able to open the 'Preferences'. Under the 'General' tab you should see an option to 'Restore Defaults'. Click on this option and restart solidThinking. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you for the reply. When I do what you said it only shows OK or CANCEL. I need to get the window with the measurements as that is the one it just vanished...

    Hi

    Can anyone help me? I really need to fix this as i am lagging in a project do to this issue. I once remember someone saying that if you remove something from the files the program set's it self to default... Any ideas?

    thank you, i dont understand how come the modelling tool panel just vanished and i cant get it back....

    Hi Manny,

    Sorry for the delay. I'm not sure if there is a easier way to do this, but deleting the solidThinking.ini file should do the trick. On Windows the file can be found here: C:\Program Files (x86)\solidThinking\5.5\sT. On Mac it is found here: Macintosh HD\Users\YourName\Library\Preferences. If you are not sure if you have the correct file you can just remove it from the file and place it on your desktop. Restart sT and see if all the defaults should be reset.
