Hello

Trying to use gpu acceleration in windows 7 , but getting the following error

mpid: CreateProcess failed: Cannot execute C:/Apl/Altair/12.0/acusolve/win64/bin/acuSolve-gpu-pmpi.exe

acuRun: *** ERROR: error occurred executing acuSolve-gpu

acuRun: Fri Nov 29 10:09:35 20

I have installed Cuda 5.5 and have a Cuda-capable GPU.

any idea on what could be wrong ?

    Hello Rogerio,

To the best of my info, AcuSolve GPU support is limited to Linux64.

There are acuSolve-gpu executables in Linux folder, however they are not there for Win64.

Just read the program reference manual. Indeed, available only on Linux 64

'To use AcuSolve with GPU acceleration based on Nvidia CUDA 3.0 technology specify -gpu. This feature is
available only on LINUX64. An Nvidia card with double precision support, such as Tesla C1060 or later
    (including Fermi), must be present.'

Only a small portion of the solver was ported to GPU, and there is no benefit to using GPU versus modern CPU.  We suggest not to use the GPU option.
