***ERROR 14
Hi Forum,
I've wanted to run an OS analysis on a model I have containing a basic geometry, a force constraint, heat constraint, force load, and a flux split into two load steps respectively (force and heat). When I go to the Optistruct panel (export options: all, analysis, and memory is ok), and the data compiles, this error is usually repeated and is associated with all elements that contain the interface (corresponding to the file format QBDY1). My model is actually a replica of an example my supervisor set up for me and from what I can tell, it is identical (at least in the browser anyways). His compiles completely and he can review the results as mine just shows the error repeated below...
*** ERROR 14: Missing surface element # 15 referenced by QBDY1 input data.
If anyone can send me some help or direction, that would be much appreciated! I feel I'm very close to getting a final result but this QBDY1 referenced error has held me back in two models thus far. Thanks for your help!

As the error says, there is a surface element missing,
The surface elements CHBDYE for defining heat transfer boundaries must be created first, then the uniform heat flux into CHBDYE elements can be defined with QBDY1 entries.

Thanks Rahul!
I actually found my problem last night! Now, that I found it, it's kind of embarrassing but now I can move on! For anyone that may have this problem also; I was applying an interface to a few elements and then proceeded to create a heat flux on the SURFACE of the element and not the INTERFACE that I had previously created. To sum it up nicely, if you're getting this error, you've applied a heat flux (QBDY1 file format) to the surface of an element (to my knowledge). If you want it to affect the interface you created, it needs to be selected by clicking groups under the ELEMS sub panel for choosing. Hope this helps any others and thanks again for the help Rahul!
