Hi! I am trying to run an analysis of a solid model, which i have meshed using general solid map mesh and other methods (like spin, line drag, element offset). I also assigned a single property to two components shown in the model browser (Model and solid map mesh). This is error I get , please clarify.

    Hi Ankit,

    Looks like you are using a gasket material and applied a wrong property. Please check and update the property.

    Thanks for the response, I had assigned material MAT1 to the property! No gasket material was assigned , but still I am getting the same output. Could there any other reason for this

    Ankith,

    You are using a element type of CGASK which is used for gasket modelling. Update the element type to PSOLID.

    Go to 3D page>>Element type>> select the elements>> CHange the config to  as shown in the image and click UPDATE.

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>elementtype.PNG

    I ran into this issue when converting from an Abaqus model to Hypermesh file. The solution above, provided by Prakash, worked for me. Thanks.

    Open the .fem file in notepad/ any editable format then ctrl+H (Replace) CGASK6  with CPENTA  then save the file.

    Now you can run the file. actually it is just version problem in hm.
