Good morning,
I like to learn/ start with SPH method (smooth particle hydrodynamics) ,
therefore I'm looking for an introduction into SPH and simple tutorials.
(I have FEM-, but no CFD- background)

In the Altair tutorials I can find the boat ditching ( RD3580 ).

Are there any more descriptions/ introductions/ help available?
Do you know good articles / books?

Thanks, Dirk

    Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH)

This begins with what SPH is and introduces the SPH theory and goes further into details,

    HyperWorks Desktop Applications > HyperMesh > User's Guide > Meshing > 0-D Elements:

    SPH Mesh

and its subtopics describe how to create SPH mesh and visualise them in HyperMesh,

here is another example apart from ditching,

Training Altair University > STRUCTURAL > ANALYSIS > PROJECTS (analysis) > Shock Tube

    http://training.altairuniversity.com/structural/analysis/projects/shock-tube/

Once you start as above you can then go into the full theory of SPH in the RADIOSS theory manual for SPH,

navigate in help as User's Guide > What is Altair RADIOSS? > Block Format Input > Theory Manual:

    Fluid and Fluid-Structure Simulation

and click on smooth particle hydrodynamics
