Hello,
Could you please help me how can I display the absorbed energy during a crash analysis? What kind of control cards should I use in HyperCrash, and what should I choose and set in HyperGraph?
Thanks a lot,
Sanyo
Hi Sanyo,
what do you mean by Absorbed energy?
is it the energy stored in the component after the impact?
You can output Internal and Kinetic energies by creating an output block.
Go to Analysis>> Output block to create one.
We would like to crash an impact to a rigid wall, and we are interested in the energy absorbed by the deformations and cracks. Hope it is possible from HyperCrash.
Sanyo,
create a time history for part(s). go to Data History and select Time History.
Thanks Prakash,
I have set time history for the part, but in HyperView I haven't found the internal and the kinetic energy in the dropdown list. Should I set something else as well to see them?
Thank you,
you can post post process them using HyperGraph.
Please open the T01 file in HyperGraph and plot the IE and KE plots.
