Hi,

   can anyone tell me what is SRCHDIS value in tie contact when and in which condition this value is used. And what is it's by default value.

    Hi Bhushan,

     

    Just measure distance between two contact surfaces and that SRHDIS > (Measured Distance). Your contact will work whatever the type of contact is.

    solid to shell contact is possible with tie contact ?

    How to give tie contact between T-juction in which one is solid and other is the shell.As shown in below diagram.I am getting error with this connection.

    Try using node to surface contact. where the nodes are represented by a node set

    Is it correct to give tie contact between solid and surface contact.In optistruct and Type 2 contact in radioss ?

    Tie contact as a boundary condition and the condition with shell and solid is that the translational dof reduce to rotational dof. 

     

    So there should be no problem.
