Activating alternative Solvers

Dear All,

 

how can i activate solvers other than the standard ones in OS? 

 

As far as i know, there are two default solvers:

 

BCS for linear static subcases

LANCZOS for eigenmode computation

 

and three additional ones:

 

PCG, MUMPS and AMSES

 

What must i do to use the additional ones? Are they requested via command line or control cards?

You can use SOLVTYP to select solver.

 

use the card SOLVTYP which is represented as a loadcollector.

 

Please note: All solver types are not compatible with all analysis subcases. Please refer help for more information.
