Free Shape Optimization, Bolt Pretension fails with latest hotfix
Hello,
we've got a model with 3d bolt-pretension, friction-contact, a non-linear quasi static analysis type and 2 loadsteps.
In our topology optimization and the static anlysis the model worked well, but it's not running in a free shape optimization.
There was a problem with the solver, which was corrected with the hwsolvers13.0.212_hotfix. But even now the solver can't solve the iteration 0 and stops with an error.
We're using Hyperworks-Version V13.0.

Hi s6thpost,
This is a known programming issue.
I am able to run the model with similar error using 13.0 210 solver update.
would it be possible to try on 13.0.210 instead of 13.0.212?

Hi,
thanks for the advice with the older version. The solver can be chosen in the run options field by writing -v 13.0.210.
With this solver version we had no error, the model worked well.

Can you check if there are any modeling errors in your model?
also, check if there is penetration in the model.
