Composite Optimization of a Formula-Student-Monocoque
Hi, I am following your tutorial “Composite Optimization with OptiStruct 11.0 on the example of a Formula-Student-Monocoque” but when I try to open a h3h file in hyperview after performing analysis of the monocoque I get the following error, I don’t understand what I am doing I have followed the instructions exactly:
Any help would be great! Thanks, Neel Chudasama

No I didn't but this is what kept popping up when I tried to follow instructions and open a h3d file in hyperview. Even if i ignored this message log nothing seemed o happen when I continued with the instructions.

This was a bug reported earlier which has been fixed in hwdesktop12.0.115_hotfix update. Please try opening file with latest or 12.0.115 hotfix.

From Screenshot which you shared says file generated in 14.0. Please check graphic driver detail & update it.
If still face this issue please share relevant files with us.

Sorry how do I check graphic driver detail and update it?

Enter DXDIAG in start programs.

Even after updating my graphic driver detail as you said and following the instructions again I still get the same error?

Thanks for sharing this information. It seems you are using windows 10 OS.If you have access to 14.0.120 desktop then check same at your end.If no then share result file to me.
Windows 10 support is from Hyperworks Desktop 14.0.120 onwards.

Thanks for sharing files.I able to post process h3d file in my machine without any problem. Please post process some other h3d files in HV just to cross check.
I want to cross check once again that whether you have student edition or full version?I checked this in full version.

I have the student edition of hyperworks, does that make a difference?

I able to post process same file in Student edition HV also. I recommend you to check with other H3d file in HV. If everything dont work then just reinstall Student edition once again and check.

Ok I shall try and reinstall the student version again as it doesnt seem to work with other h3d files

Hi Rahul I have uninstalled and reinstalled hyperworks and it seems to be able to load the h3d file but the message log still comes up with a warning? and when I follow the instructions of the tutorial further and click on the contour button and try to look at results type only three options are available? Composite stresses or the other options which are shown in the tutorial do not come up. I have attached the relevant screenshots in your dropbox.

Hi,
Please include CFAILURE card in your model setup. Since 13.0 all output control to results for composite is done through CFAILURE.

Hi Prakash I included the CFAILURE card as you said but still only three options come up?

I did this before I ran the analysis as well.
