Optistruct result output error
Hello,
i am running a static analysis case but as soon as the solver finishes computations, i get an error 'Hyperworks not responding....1.)close the programme....2.)search a solution online....and so.....' buit still solver shows compliance values and say 'JOB Completed' but it doesn't generate results in .h3d file.
Can you suggest what could be the reason. I must say its a big assembly with contact pairs and several SPC's (3.2 mil elements) and .hm file is about 95MB. i hope this shouldn't be a problem with Optistruct.
How can i view my results in .h3d file ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Palash,
Please try the below:
Close HyperWorks application(s) and Please delete setting files on your machine and try again. Follow the link below on how to delete setting files:
http://forum.altairh...iles/?hl=delete
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
Also, delete .Altair folder in temporary directory. Go to Run and type
in %Temp% and click OK.

Hi Prakash,
i am again facing the same issue. i deleted all temp files as suggested by you....but still that error occurs some times.
even with small calculations, i am not geting a direct option (at the end of the solver) to enter hyperview results. is there any work around to view the results ?

Palash,
Also, try to change the working directory,
By default it is 'My Documents'. Instead change to any other local directory.

no Prakash, neither i have a .h3d file in working directory nor i have Hyperview as an highlighted option.
my work dir. is already in a separate folder then My Documents.
and right before the simulation ends, it says 'Close the Progamme'.
all the files generated are :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
pls suggest.
regards..

Hi Palash,
Does this happen for all models or is it specific to a model?

it is happening for this specific model for now. it is a bit complex geometry with many contact surfaces.

Palash,
Can you share the model, please?
